Had a great visit to the Valley of Fire in Nevada

Had a lot of fun today with the family at the Toledo Museum of Art. The main galleries are stunning and the glass pavilion is an amazing building.
I had a lot of fun at the Ohio Northern University's Polar Bear Ball. There was dancing, a silent auction and baby animals.
I donated four framed prints to the auction and there was quite a little bidding war for the items.
If you have looked at many of my photos you have more than likely noticed that when ever I get a chance I head to the woods. Almost any woods will do but today I picked the Ottawa Wildlife Refuge that is located about 20 miles west of Toledo, Ohio. I had read that there were some marsh habitats, birds, etc.
We finally sold our house over in Green, Ohio unfortunately we are now going to be losing $5,600 on the transaction. Yes, we will be paying money for someone to buy our house. That just seems wrong on so many levels.
Somedays I take photos of mugs and golf balls and on other days really cool things happen right in my own backyard.
Woo Hoo... This photo reached number 224 in Flickr's Explore and this time I actually got to see the photo in the explore slideshow. Usually by the time that one of my photos make's it into explorer it has already been pushed out by the time I notice.
The 365 project is based on picking my favorite or at least the most significant photo of the day for 365 days. My main motivation for starting this project was to make sure that I'm shooting every day.
Some days that turns out to be one of the barns or abandoned houses from my Hardin County Project or sometimes it is a photo of Jake, Kylie or some event at ONU.

So we finally got a Wii, thanks to Tony, and now I'm having to learn a whole new wii-cabulary. The thing that you play with looks like a remote control but it's called a wiimote. For some reason every time I say wiimote it cracks me up.
The other thing that is hard to get use to is the fact that my first grader is kicking my butt at both wiibowling and wiibaseball. I think I'm going to have to get some practice time in so that I don't embarrass myself.
